إرث بان مشروع ثقافي وسياحي يرتبط بشجرة البان العربي في العلا، ويعمل على تحويل قصة عائلية عمرها أكثر من ثمانين عامًا إلى تجربة تحفظ المعرفة التقليدية، وتعرّف الزائر بعلاقة الإنسان بالأرض والشجرة والزيت. Erth Ban is a cultural and heritage tourism project rooted in AlUla's Arabian baan tree. It transforms a family story spanning more than eighty years into an experience that preserves traditional knowledge and introduces visitors to the relationship between people, land, tree, and oil.

في المرحلة المتوسطة، دخل أحد المعلمين الفصل وطلب منا أن نكتب كيف ستكون حياتنا بعد عشر سنوات. من بين الأشياء التي كتبتها أنني سأمتلك مشروعًا متخصصًا في البان العربي. During middle school, a teacher asked us to write where we imagined ourselves ten years later. Among the things I wrote was that I would have a project dedicated to the Arabian baan tree.
مرت السنوات، وتغيرت اهتمامات كثيرة، لكن الفكرة بقيت. واليوم أعمل على المشروع نفسه الذي كتبته يومًا في ورقة مدرسية. Years passed and many interests changed, but the idea remained. Today, I am working on the same project I once wrote about on a school paper.
قبل أكثر من ثمانين عامًا More Than Eighty Years Before the Project
قبل أكثر من ثمانين عامًا، في ضواحي العلا وبين ظروف الأرض القاسية، عاشت أم مع أيتامها وهي تبحث عن مصادر تساعدها على الاستمرار. More than eighty years ago, on the outskirts of AlUla and amid difficult living conditions, a mother cared for her orphaned children while relying on the resources available around her.
كانت تجمع بذور شجرة البان العربي في موسمها، ثم تطحنها وتستخرج منها الزيت بطريقة تقليدية تحتاج إلى وقت وجهد ومعرفة متوارثة. During the season, she collected seeds from the Arabian baan tree, ground them, and extracted their oil through a demanding traditional method shaped by time, effort, and inherited knowledge.
حين يتقدم المكان، يجب ألا تتأخر قصصه As a Place Moves Forward, Its Stories Must Not Be Left Behind
حققت العلا حراكًا اقتصاديًا وسياحيًا مهمًا، وفي المقابل ما زالت هناك مساحة واسعة لإبراز القصص المحلية التي صنعت هوية المكان. AlUla has achieved remarkable economic and tourism momentum, yet there remains significant space to surface the local stories that shaped the identity of the place.
إرث بان يحاول المساهمة في هذه المساحة من خلال توثيق قصة حقيقية، والمحافظة على الطريقة التقليدية لصناعة الزيت، وإعادة تقديم الموروث ضمن تجربة يستطيع الزائر أن يفهمها ويعيشها، لا أن يراها من بعيد فقط. Erth Ban contributes to that opportunity by documenting a real family story, preserving the traditional oil-making method, and presenting the heritage through an experience visitors can understand and participate in—not merely observe from a distance.

إرث بان لا يمثل شجرة واحدة أو عائلة واحدة فقط، بل يقدم نموذجًا لفكرة أكبر: كل عائلة سعودية تحمل إرثًا يستحق أن يُروى. وبعض الإرث لا يكفي أن نحفظه في الذاكرة، بل يجب أن نحوله إلى تجربة، وفرصة، وحياة جديدة. Erth Ban is not only about one tree or one family. It represents a broader belief: every Saudi family carries a heritage worth telling. Some legacies should not remain only in memory; they can be transformed into experiences, opportunities, and renewed life.
